Ritchie Tabachnick has more than 35 years of experience in industry, primarily in the energy field. Since 2004, he has been President of Equipment & Controls Africa, a service company focused on the energy industry in Africa. Mr. Tabachnick was involved in establishing Equipment & Controls Africa, in 1995, and has served as its Director of Business Development, Vice President of Operations, and President. Under his leadership, the company grew from 2 employees and $400,000 sales in 1996, to nearly 300 people and over $80 million in sales in 2010. Mr. Tabachnick oversaw the spinoff of several business units in 2011.
Prior to the establishment of Equipment & Controls Africa, Mr. Tabachnick’s career included project engineering, plant operations, project management, business development and marketing. He also spent three years as a lecturer in advanced process control at McGill University in Montreal. He brings a record of successfully introducing new technology in developing countries and emerging markets.
Mr. Tabachnick holds B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees from McGill University. He has authored several publications in the field of process control and automation.
